10 years of Team CPR outlined by CEO Shirley Walker

February 1, 2020 marks the 10 year birthday for Team CPR, Inc.  Started as Complete Provider Resource in February, 2010, the company has undergone a lot of growth and change in the past ten years, from location to client type to corporate structure.  One thing the CPR clients have come to know and trust is the commitment to service.  CPR held a birthday celebration January 31, and invited clients, vendors, friends and neighbors to come and enjoy our new space and hear about our story.

In January, 2010, Shirley Walker left her position as Provider Relations Manager with one of the largest healthcare plans in the state, and pondered her next move.   With the encouragement of her mentor and industry friends, she began working on an idea to help healthcare providers with issues she had seen in her time at QualChoice.  Many provider offices have the knowledge of what to do but no time, or have the time but are lacking the knowledge of how to navigate everything they need to be successful.   February 1, 2010, in a modest kitchen office, CPR was born.

In that first six months, CPR met their one-year goal.  Rapidly outgrowing the kitchen, CPR moved into their first office, a small suite in west Little Rock.   By the end of that first year, CPR met their three-year goal.  In a world where 90% of startups fail, and started during the lowest point during the recession, CPR was getting stronger, and expanding services to meet a growing client population.  Starting as a contracting and credentialing firm, CPR added billing services and consulting on practice start-ups.  Growing over 900% in year two and adding staff members, the company found itself bursting at the seams and when the office building where they were located sold, CPR took the opportunity to move to a larger space where they occupied the next nearly five years.

As that lease was coming to a close and the company prepared for the next five years, CPR moved in January, 2020 to their current location, 400 Hardin Road, Suite 130, Little Rock.   This newly renovated space is much more conducive to the growth and expansion the company is anticipating in the next 24 months, and provides a better setup for current activity in facilities more explicitly designed for the types of service the company provides.
