The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Studied data on emergency room visits at 100 hospitals, to see how many injuries were turkey related. With more than 358,000 recorded visits for 2015, 47 involved turkey-related injuries. And nearly half of those injuries involved a knife!
Cuts and lacerations from carving the Thanksgiving Day turkey were the most common injury.
