KEEP CALM Week 4
ICD-10-CM W60.XXXS
Mother Nature may not agree, but the calendar says that fall has officially arrived. September 23 marked the arrival of the autumnal equinox also known as the first day of fall. In honor of fall, this week our Keep Calm & ICD-10 On campaign will feature an activity that everyone relates with the cool brisk days of Autumn.
During the later part of fall, how many of us spend our Saturday afternoons raking leaves? We work hard and spend countless hours making neat piles out of the leaves that fall on our lawns.
Each season a few piles are inevitably destroyed by rambunctious children, dogs, or maybe even the wind! The moment you turn your back, all those pesky leaves have been redistributed back across the yard and you must start over. Not only is this frustrating, but apparently the leaves can be dangerous as well!

YIKES! Who realized those leaves were so sharp and such a danger that they required their own ICD-10-CM code? To help you avoid this dangerous situation, we have an ingenious solution. Don’t rake the fallen leaves in your yard. Leaf those dangerous things alone!
According to research done at Michigan State University, leaving the leaves on your lawn is not harmful to your grass and it can actually make it harder for weeds to grow!
